From the mid-sixties, the Akras brothers have been producing special pressure vessels in Stainless Steel, High Nickel alloys and other exotic materials.

Akras Engineering was established in 1982 by two brothers.
It is currently a second generation family owned business specialising in welding and fabrication of High Nickel alloys and various specialised materials.

From the mid-sixties, the Akras brothers have been producing special pressure vessels for various food, chemical and manufacturing companies.

We have more than 50 years experience in welding and fabrication. Working with exotic materials such as High Nickel alloys, Hastelloy, Inconel, Monel, Tantalum, Titanium, Zirconium and the better known 300 Series Stainless Steel, Duplex 2205, 2304 & Super Duplex 2507 is an everyday occurrence at the Akras Engineering workshop in Melbourne, Australia.

The company’s large workshop carries equipment with a lifting capacity of 10t, enabling the company to undertake all types of commissions for a variety of industries and our facility is a registered ISO9001 workshop for pressure vessel manufacturing.
